Citizens Academy

City Manager’s Office

The Citizens Academy is an annual program run by the City of Marquette to provide an education opportunity for residents to learn more about city operations. Participants will attend weekly sessions covering different departments across the city. Sessions include an overview and tour of the fire department’s operations, an inside look into the preparation and execution of election processes with the City Clerk, and an up close look at the city’s motor pool including getting in the driver’s seat of a snow plow! If you are interested, you can apply at the link below. Please note that spots are limited and we are not able to accept all applicants into the program.

There will be 10 total sessions of the Citizens Academy starting at the end of August. Sessions will be weekly on Wednesdays at 5:30 and last around 1.5-2 hours. Are you able to commit to attending at least 8 of the 10 total sessions?
