Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026, Payne and Dolan, Inc. will close Fisher Street between Seventh Street and Altamont Street to through traffic. This closure is necessary to facilitate the replacement of a failing section of watermain. The project is expected to be completed within approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the project area. Residents within the closure limits will receive additional information directly from Payne and Dolan, Inc. regarding anticipated utility disruptions, parking restrictions, and driveway access.
This work is being completed in conjunction with the planned Fisher Street resurfacing project scheduled for this summer.
Motorists are urged to use caution, seek alternate routes, and follow all posted traffic control measures while traveling near the construction zone
