The 100 block of E Main St, from Front St to Lakeshore Blvd, will be closed to traffic on all day on Thursday September 3, 2026 for sanitary sewer connection work. The work will be completed by Oberstar Inc. and is expected to take one full day. Eastbound vehicular traffic will be detoured to E Washington Street via Front St and westbound vehicular traffic will be detoured to Spring St via Lakeshore Blvd. The sidewalk on the south side of Main St will remain open for pedestrian traffic only.
The public is advised to take caution when traveling through this area and to be alert for construction and advisory signing.
