The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board (PRAB) is requesting public input on the planned “Phase II” of the Marquette Cultural Trailhead, formally the old Lake Superior Community Partnership facility on Front Street. Phase II will rejuvenate green spaces, add a picnic site, renovate the parking area, and implement pedestrian safety measures on South Front Street. The City of Marquette Cultural Trailhead, including Phases I and II, is funded through grants, donations, and dedicated City public art funds. The community is welcome to give input during the next PRAB meeting on October 19 at 5:45 p.m. in the Citizens Forum at Lakeview Arena. There will be two public comment sections during the meeting and written comments can be sent to parks@marquettemi.gov to be read aloud during the meeting.
